چکیده

As a number of reviews on different aspects of the toxicology of the PCBs have been written recently (1-4) no effort has been made in this report to give a complete outline of the animal toxicology. The material summarized in this report consists predominantly of more recently published information on toxic effects of PCBs in mammals and experimental studies in birds. Since Nelson et al. (3) discussed extensively the toxic effects produced in fish by PCBs, the reader is referred to this and the other reviews cited above for information on toxicity of PCBs in this species. The emphasis of the present review was placed

Toxicology and new social ethics for animals.

The issue of animal treatment has emerged as a major social concern over the past three decades. This ramified in a new ethic for animal treatment that goes beyond concern about cruelty and attempts to eliminate animal pain and suffering, whatever its source. Investigation on Biochemically Processed Castor Seed Meal in Nutrition and Physiology of Japanese Quails

Native de-oiled and treated castor seed meal was subjected to proximate analysis and quantification of anti-nutrients (phytochemicals). Seed cake was treated by biochemical technique of solid state fermentation with Aspergillus niger and addition of calcium oxide (CaO) to give treated castor seed meal (TCSM). One hundred and twenty Japanese quails (Coturnix coturnix japonica) were fed four (4) ...
